Welcome To Investment Recovery Services International!

IT'S A DIRTY JOB, BUT SOMEBODY HAS TO DO IT!  Surplus Equipment Remarketing Sales

Remarketing surplus equipment to enhance your bottom line.

Investment Recovery Services utilizes an integrated business process that identifies for re-deployment or re-marketing of non-productive (surplus) capital assets generated in the normal course of business. Investment recovery is the practice of strategically managing the disposition of surplus assets.

Many oraganizations enhanced and broadened the Investment Recovery role to include sourcing quality pre-owned equipment as a way to decrease capital spending and increase their speed to markets by purchasing typical long lead equipment via the surplus equipment pool.
Effective Organizational Structure Maximizes Return on Capital Investment.

Many companies have instituted a central Investment Recovery Manager(s) that work with an Investment Recovery point person at each plant or site location. The role of the Investment Recovery point person is to work with the central Investment Recovery Manager to effectively identify and list surplus generated at each individual site. To me, this is one of the most effective organizational structures to put in place. All too often organizations do not have a formal Investment Recovery Program. The plant manager or plant personnel typically manage surplus assets, in this situation. In either case, it takes a strategic, systemic approach to surplus assets to minimize loss avoidance, maximize cost avoidance and significantly improve the cash flow generated from the external sale of surplus assets.
